“Caffrey?”
It was the hitch in her voice that got his attention. “Di?” Neal asked, sitting upright in bed immediately. When the only answer was heavy breathing, it was all he could do not to shout her name down the phone. “Diana, is something wrong?” he said, almost convincingly calm.
