leesa_perrie's prompt about a pining Satchmo above gave me this idea.
Peter and Elizabeth go on vacation for a week or two and Neal brings Satchmo to June's to watch him. Satchmo and Bugsy really take to each other and become best friends. When Satchmo goes back home him and Bugsy are both depressed because they miss each other.
Maybe June and Peter and El don't realize what the problem is at first. Then Peter tells Neal about the way Satchmo is acting and Neal tells him that Bugsy is acting the same way and they figure it out. They get the dogs together and they are happy again. Satchmo and Bugsy have regular play dates and live happily, doggily ever after. :)
