Neal tried not to flinch when the door banged against the wall, Peter throwing it wide. The dog barked, once, and he felt Peter bow down, his hand shifting on Neal's arm – not leaving it, not really, the fingertips remained, one or two – as he shooed Satchmo away and back to his doggie bed.
