Well, fellow Hurt Comforteers, it's Spring and the world is new, and it's time for some Comfort fics!

So let your fluff flag fly, people. Comfort food. Smoochies. Nursing someone through a bad cold. I’ll take puppies, kittens, non-con cuddling, baby monkeys riding on pigs, what have you. Let's do it!

Comfort cuddling (OT3 :)

Neal and El bring Peter home from a hospital (injury, surgery, I leave the reason he ended up in a hospital up to the author) and in the safety and privacy of their home they can finally let go of all the angst and uncertainty of the past few days/weeks.

Whenever anyone on the team is happy or sad or has a bday, they always wind up with a homemade baked treat on their desk, delivered anonymously. Diana figures out it's Neal.

His motives and what he makes and who for are all up to you.

Pining Satchmo

The next door cat used to come visit Satchmo in the Burke back yard and often Peter or El found the cat asleep with Satch. But it was an old cat and passed away, and now Satch is pining for his friend.

El persaudes Peter into getting a cat (I'm thinking it's a couple of years old, rather than a kittten, maybe adopted from a shelter, having come from a home with a dog). Satch perks up and he and the new cat become firm friends - once the rules have been established to the cat's satisfaction, of course (ie Cat is top, Dog is not)!

Gen preferred, though background canon-established relationships are fine (and probably necessary to the fic). Or just make me some kind of Satch and cat artwork, I'll be happy with either!

Neal is hurt/ill and just wants his comfort food. But he's at the Burkes and doesn't want to admit to what that is. El feeds him fancy stuff, but he just really, really wants... (Mac 'n' cheese? Ramen's noodles? Peanut and jelly sandwiches?), but is embarrassed to admit to such an 'unrefined' comfort food! (This is Neal we're talking about, after all!)

Bonus if Mozzie comes round and lets Neal's secret out of the bag! :)

Being at the tail end of a horrid cold, I want sick!fic!! Nothing really dangerous (ie low grade temperature, not high and/or life-threatening), with coughing and flem and generally feeling crap.

For fun, let's have Mozzie ill and Neal doing the looking after (and dealing with Mozzie's paranoia and hypochrondria - because, of course, he's not just got a cold, he's got a government produced viral agent that they're testing out on the general public without their knowledge!).

Feel free to throw other characters in as you wish (maybe El hears and brings cupcakes).

Satchmo to the rescue

Neal's feeling blue but does his best to hide it. Doesn't matter the reason, could be serious stuff of Kate-just-died proportion or just him being sad that his favorite suit got ruined during a case.

Either way, he's feeling really down but he doesn't want anyone to know it, and he manages to fool everyone...except Satchmo.

Satch gives the best doggy kisses and offers his big furry self for some hugging and generally shows Neal all the love and devotion he can.

Gen, Peter/Neal or OT3 is fine. :) Don't ask me why, I'm on a Satch kick lately. LOL!

Warming up Neal

Neal's cold, and he just can't get warm. Maybe he was stuck outside in the cold or it was really cold in the van but they're at home (either home) and he's still all miserable and shivery (but not sick). Peter or El and Peter help him get warm. (Gen or OT3)

Neal is in shock after having to shoot/hit/fight James to stop him from getting away after he confessed to Pratt's murder. After they capture James, someone (author's choice) takes care of Neal, either putting a blanket around his shoulders, giving him a hug, driving him to the hospital or all of the above.

Jones' great-aunt dies and he inherits the cat-from-hell. Except the cat is actually suffering from some low level, chronic, easily fixed thing, and the aunt never realised. Healthy kitty is a warm, soft, putty kitty.

Satchmo and Bugsy miss each other

leesa_perrie's prompt about a pining Satchmo above gave me this idea.

Peter and Elizabeth go on vacation for a week or two and Neal brings Satchmo to June's to watch him. Satchmo and Bugsy really take to each other and become best friends. When Satchmo goes back home him and Bugsy are both depressed because they miss each other.

Maybe June and Peter and El don't realize what the problem is at first. Then Peter tells Neal about the way Satchmo is acting and Neal tells him that Bugsy is acting the same way and they figure it out. They get the dogs together and they are happy again. Satchmo and Bugsy have regular play dates and live happily, doggily ever after. :)

El needs comfort

El is an emotional wreck for whatever reason. (I've been listening to too much sad music lately) Neal and Peter join forces to give comfort in the form of cuddling and whatever other form or forms you would like :-) .

I would love to see anything with Diana - I would absolutely adore something gen, with Diana as the one who was injured and Peter or Neal as the one comforting. The fandom has a lack of all things involving Neal and Dianas friendship or Peter and Dianas friendship.
