Yes, I know the results of our last poll meant that the next fest is supposed to be about Freak Accidents, and I promise that will kick off July 1. But with Whump-a-Palooza still in full swing, I thought we might all like a little palate cleanser from all the angst and pain!

So let your fluff flag fly, people. Comfort food. Smoochies. Nursing someone through a bad cold. I’ll take puppies, kittens, bunnies, full-contact cuddling. Let us have it – we’ve got two weeks.

Detailed rules for our fests can be found here, but these are the highlights:

• One prompt per comment
• Warn for triggers
• Use the subject line!
• Graphic arts are, of course, welcome
• Use the word “FILL” in your fills (helps me to keep track for the fill posts)
• Feel free to post to your LJ and link here
• Be nice. Have fun.

Questions? Leave a comment below.

This fest will last until July 1, but – as with all our commentfic fests – we never really close them down.

So prompt away, fellow Comfortniks….just remember to come back and fill a few, too!

Master List for this challenge

Title: Mending
Fandom: White Collar
SeriesSneakers and Sheriff Badges. This is the fourth part, but can be read as a stand-alone!
Rating: PG-13
Content Advisory: Allusions to neglect and abuse.
Notes: This was written for the Whump-a-Palooza fest on[livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc.
Thanks: I had two wonderful betas for this fic: [personal profile] neontiger55 and [personal profile] embroiderama! All remaining mistakes are my fault. Also, a special shout-out to ivorysilk, who's pretty much the entire reason that this is a 'verse, and not just that-kidfic-I-wrote-that-one-time.
Summary: Neal breaks his arm.

“Never mind,” Neal says, more of his head disappearing around the door, until he’s just a fluff of hair backlit by the Batman nightlight in the hall. “Go back to sleep. I didn’t mean to wake you up.”

Title: Dreaming in Kiswahili
Rating: PG13
Pairing: OT3 P/E/N
Word Count: ~ 6,250 for the story and another 550 in Author’s Note at the end including translations of the Swahili.
Spoilers: None
Time frame: Post Kate, Pre Adler
Summary: When I read on Neal’s wanted poster that one of his many languages was Conversational Swahili, I couldn’t help myself. It’s my second language. So Neal gets sick, Swahili happens and then he gets hurt by the bad guys. Hurt and comfort abound.

Note: This was written for Whumpapalooza at whitecollarhc. This is unbetaed. My apologies for any booboos.

The dala dala was packed tighter than a can of sardines, hot, sweating bodies elbow to elbow and knee to knee.  The air was thick, searing, stifling.
