White Collar Freedom Fest

You know, we were going to wait until April to launch our next Fest, but that Season 3 Finale got us all excited for stories covering what might happen next. Hence: White Collar Freedom Fest.

What was going through Neal's mind as he sat on that plane? What was going through Peter’s mind when he signaled to Neal that he should go? Will they ever see each other again? (OK, of course they will – there’s a Season 4, after all – work with me!) But what adventures will they have in the interim?

But this Fest isn’t just about tags for Judgment Day – we’re nothing if not flexible here at the White Collar Hurt/Comfort Community. For example: What did Kate do during those years she was hiding from Neal? What else could Neal have been running from when he left home at the age of 18? Perhaps wee!Moz ran into a bad crowd after he left Detroit?

The possibilities are endless.

White Collar vs. The Defiant Ones, Peter/Neal slash or pre-slash, NC-17

Inspired by the classic movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Defiant_Ones) starring Sidney Poitier and Tony Curtis.

Post-Judgment Day. Plotcakes happen and Neal and Peter are either being sent to the same prison or are working on a chain gang. (Because there are still chain gangs in 2012, right? Work with me.) They escape, but are shackled together. At first they hate each other (maybe Peter blames Neal for getting him into all of this, maybe they haven’t spoken since being sentenced) but then of course they have to work together to survive the harsh weather conditions. They eventually get to respect and even admit their love for each other, and then: seksi tiems.

OK, so I just want shackled-together-seksi-tiems. Sue me…

So, let me back up. Let’s say Neal stayed and faced the music because he didn’t want Peter to suffer the consequences if he ran. So he went to DC, and Kramer was a bastard to him. So he… plots his revenge.

Is he really dead? How abused and mistreated was he to think it was his only out? Or is he just crafty? Does Peter investigate? I leave it to you.

Kramer always suspected that Peter would rebel against him. He just never thought it would be in such a big way. Kramer's thoughts and feelings as he watches Peter struggle with the choices he's made, and the consequences of his actions.

AU Neal/Kramer in New York

Neal didn't run to protect Peter and has ended in Kramer's hands. Kramer works in New York instead of D.C. So, he is Neal's new handler. He treats Neal badly and puts him often in danger when he uses him to work on undercover. Peter doesn't like that. He tries to protect Neal and free him from Kramer.

Gen only please. Whump!Neal would be greatly appreciated but not too much (no rape, no torture).

Sick!Neal in Tropical country

Neal and Mozzie run away in tropical country where Neal gets sick with Malaria. Mozzie hides Neal and takes care of him the best he can. Peter, who is looking for them, finds them. And... I don't know. Perhaps Neal needs better medical attention and Peter has to find a way to bring him back to New York.

Gordon has a thing for Neal and sees his chance when Neal and Mozzie flee New York. He tracks them down and tries to sweep Neal off his feet. Neal tries really hard to forget Peter and the life he left but Gordon recognizes an irreparably broken heart and serious depression when he sees it. With Mozzie’s help Goron orchestrates an elaborate con to get Kramer out of the picture and clear Neal of any charges so he can return his sad lover to Peter.

Just their luck--as Mozzie and Neal make their escape from New York the plane is hijacked.

Neal has a change of heart and decides to head back to New York, but on the way his plane crashes on the runway during a stop-over and he wakes up with amnesia in a foreign country. His fake passport and other documentation gives no clues as far as who the hospital should contact. Mozzie becomes concerned when he doesn't hear from him and then frantic when he learns Neal never made it back to New York.

This is a post-Judgement Day story - I would like to see a story where Mozzie is so concerned regarding Neal's behavior that he is the one to contact Peter to come to his side and help out. I don't want Neal as an alcoholic or a drug addict, but something different. Possibly so depressed not eating, or taking terrible risks, or living a very austere life where he believes he deserves nothing. Peter has to come and save - lots of comfort.

Slash - Okay here is my idea - This is an AU for Judgement day where Peter does not signal to Neal to leave. Instead he lets Kramer take Neal to DC because he needs someone to take Neal away from him because he is so very much in love with Neal. He wants Neal safe and thinks this is the way to go. Is Neal safe with Kramer? Writer's choice. Does Peter come clean? How does it change his marriage. Do not want Elizabeth to be part of the pairing but she can be okay with it in the end.
