Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: R
Pairing/characters: Neal, Peter, El and June - gen
Word count: 4,590
Warnings: Discussion of various unhappy things that can happen to homeless teenagers.
Summary: Through sheer coincidence or the vagaries of fate, three people met Neal Caffrey in the months between when he arrived in New York and when he met Mozzie. Two of them forgot, but one remembered.

Notes: This was written as three ficlets for three prompts in [livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan's Promptfest VII. To fit the 90s theme, the title is from Counting Crows, "Round Here." See the story post for a note on the timeline vs. canon.

He told himself that he was going to find something better any day because he was meant for better things. He knew that deep down inside where the cold and the damp and the hunger and the weariness couldn't touch. )
