Summary: Peter comforts Neal after a particularly hard day.

“Neal. Hey, Neal.”

Neal turns in response to Peter’s voice, looks at him blankly.

“You sure you’re all right?”

Neal looks down at his shoes. There’s a smudge of blood on them; he’s not sure whose it is. He catches a glimpse of his hand, holds it up in front of his face; the knuckles are bruised, torn, bloodied. Shaking. His hand is shaking. He looks up at Peter, blue eyes wide, and just nods.
