Welcome to our first Comment Fic Fest!

With the BIG CLIFFHANGER in the season 3.0 finale, we thought a good topic for our first ‘fest would be: KIDNAPPING!

Does Moz think he’s been abducted by aliens? Almost certainly.

Did Neal have some post traumatic stress after being kidnapped by Ryan Wilkes in “Front Man?”

Or maybe Peter has El “abducted” by Diana and Neal in advance of her surprise birthday party?

Or just…Neal/Peter being held by Bad Guys Unknown results in sweet, sweet lovin’.Or something.

The possibilities are endless.
 

Rules:
(ganked from ariadnes_string’s Running Hot Fever Meme, and I hope she doesn’t mind…)

1. Prompts should have kidnapping or abduction as an element – you can request any or all aspects of this scenario from planning to aftermath. Other than that, be as inventive as you like about the different cases. Any and all pairings and ratings allowed. No RPF/RPS though, please.

2. One comment per prompt, please. Comment to this post with your prompt, characters or pairings and other preferences. All genres/pairings are welcome. Crossovers welcome. You can also state your desired rating and content, though you don't have to. However, some people like non-con with their kidnappings, some people don’t, so it may be a good idea to state what you don’t want right up front.

Example A:
“Elizabeth, Keller. Tag to “Countdown”

El escapes from Keller’s clutches on her own – how did she do it? Maybe she seduced him? Maybe she beat the crap out of him with her ninja-like skills? No rape, please. Any rating.”

Example B:

Aftermath of a fuck or die situation where Peter is a white hot ball of rage. How does it affect his relationships? How do they get him the help he needs? Any rating – be as explicit as you like.”

3. PLEASE WARN FOR TRIGGERY CONTENT. Given the subject matter, there may be any number of triggers in a prompt or a fill, so be thoughtful and warn for them, if you please.

4. We understand that not all of us are writers – you can leave as many prompts as you like even if you can’t fill one, but one prompt per comment, please. If you've got a few, do a separate comment for each separately.

5. Your prompts can be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

One of my favorite tropes! Here's the setup: Neal wakes to find himself trapped in a coffin, with only a busted cell phone that can only transmit and not receive voice calls. The only person he can reach is Elizabeth.

Neal and Peter are caught up in a hostage situation when a bank robbery happens while they're investigating the case. As the cops are negotiating, it comes out that one of the hostages is an FBI agent. Neal volunteers that it's him.

Looking for Neal sacrificing himself for Peter's safety, he is injured (how is up to writer), and Peter comforts him until help arrives.

Id love for the team to have to rescue her in the end, but that doesn't mean Diana's in distress either. She's got the situation handled, she just hasn't got away yet.

After the events in "Dentist of Detroit" Peter's interested in finding out Moz's origins. He investigates and discovers that Moz was kidnapped as a baby and he also discovers his surprising, true identity...which is...up to the writer.

Neal - abducted mid-phone call with Peter

I know, I know they already did this on the show in "Front Man." It's also been done in "Taken" and "Eye for an Eye"(okay, the latter was a murder, not a kidnapping, but still.) but it remains one of those things that gets to me, because I think it would be absolutely terrifying to be the person on the other end of that call.

Neal & Peter are having a conversation, and in the midst of it, Peter hears Neal being abducted. Unlike "Front Man," there isn't just sudden silence on the line -- Neal doesn't go quietly. What happens after that is entirely up to the author, though it would be lovely if it included BAMF Peter.

Neal's been missing a few days, and then, abruptly, he isn't. Peter and Elizabeth find him in decidedly not good shape somewhere on their property (I said doorstep, but if ya like the backyard better, then God be with you.)Peter is equal parts relieved, horrified, and enraged. Aaaaand go.

(Side note: I think this actually crawled out of the place in my brain that "Last House on the Left" made its mark on. Ever watch a movie you really really really wish you could unwatch?)

Neal kidnapped to prove prison is escape proof but doesn't know it

Warden Haskill, in order to redeem himself, designs what he considers an escape proof prison cell, with benefits to force the prisoner to try and escape. He arranges with higher echelons, including Hughes and Bankcroft to test the security of the cell on Neal, not telling them of the extreme effects of the extras and the dire psychological effects it will have on Neal. Of course, no one tells Neal what he's been volunteered to do. Neal is drugged, kidnapped and left in the cell. When he awakens, he's in an orange jumpsuit. He's given either too much or too little food and water at irregular intervals to mess with his circadian rhythms. Loud weird sounds waken him whenever he falls asleep. Temperature levels go from freezing to sweltering and all levels in between. At first Neal decides to just wait out whatever is happening but then the torture begins and he tries everything he can to escape but he's basically in a steal box. There is no way out. As the torture takes effect and with no human contact, Neal becomes delusional and thinks that Peter put him back in prison, he's never left prison and his life with the F.B.I. was a dream, he's been abducted by aliens, he's been kidnapped.

Meanwhile, Peter is waiting in the office for Neal and just when he should be coming in, he's told by Hughes what has happened and that he can observe Neal on his laptop. Only the video feed that the F.B.I. sees is edited to make it look like Neal is in a cell and they don't understand what seems to be making Neal go crazy.

Peter is furious. He with El, Sara, Sally and Mozzie's help piece together what is happening behind the F.B.I.'s back and set about to rescue Neal who is quickly losing touch with reality.

Please, a lot of comfort and focus on how Neal recovers from the trauma.

Funnily enough, I'm currently writing a kidnapping story. :o) Doesn't go with any of these prompts, though.

Here's a prompt from me:

Peter finds Neal's favorite gray Trilby near a dumpster, carelessly discarded. Peter has a feeling something is wrong, but can't be sure. Neal's tracking data leads to the Manhattan docks where there is no sign of him. Peter isn't sure whether Neal ran or not. (Up to here that's pretty much a drabble I wrote, called "Hidden Message" (http://tj-teejay.livejournal.com/83086.html).) Turns out Neal's been kidnapped. The team uncover a few clues, but it's slow going. By the time they find Neal, he's been roughed up a bit (or more than a bit). Bonus points for lots of h/c from Peter and/or El. (Gen please.)

Peter/Neal - Forced to F**k

Peter is Neal's brutal but loving Dom. Peter gets abducted by people who then rape and torture him. Neal, Peter's adoring submissive and servant who would die for him, saves Peter and nurses him back to health, never once leaving his own subspace.

(I realize this has the potential to be EPIC, so if no one wants to take it on, I'll totally understand, but I'd LOVE it, and I thank you ahead of time!!!)

As a prompt, I would like to see Neal swimming away/towards a dangerous situation. This trope would be excellent for that. Swimming until he is physically exhausted and still he keeps going. Maybe Peter is held in a boat that is constantly sinking deeper into the sea? Or Jones is concussed and Neal has to get him to shore? But swimming. Physical exhaustion and swimming.
Would NOT like: no pneumonia, please.
Would like: a bit of humor. Something like, midway through the rescue, a jellyfish or some other painful and annoying sea critter makes Neal's day/night just that much worse.

"Under the Radar" AU

This one's been in my head for a while. I always found it ripe for possibility that Adler drugged Neal and Peter with (presumably) the same eyeballed dose of whatever crap he gave them, considering Peter is the big strapping piece of man he is, and Neal is the little slip of a thing he is. It doesn't seem like that would turn out well for Neal. So I'd like a story where it doesn't. Peter comes out of that dosing okay, but Neal ends up dangerously sick, while Adler's holding them.

Elizabeth is back home, safe, unharmed. Keller got away.... They think. Neal is sick and tired of Keller coming back into his life and screwing things around. So he takes matters into his own hands -literally-, punishing Keller himself. Bonus if he makes Keller cry without making him bleed.

No descriptive slash, implied if fine. Don't kill him, just make him hurt.

Neal's comfort... Is it beating up Keller, or is it after Peter arrests Keller?

Great prompt, LadyDragoness! I’ve been wanting to write a Keller story, and this was just what I needed to get started:

Part of me still cringes when I remember how Keller found me after Kate left. My memory of that night is a little foggy, but I can still see him strolling into the sparse apartment—as if I’d invited him—and stopping short at the sight of me. He took in my disheveled clothes and wild hair without a word. Not to mention the empty bottles of cheap wine that littered the table.

He raised an eyebrow at me. “Where’s Kate?”

I swallowed. “No idea.”

“She left you, huh? Wow, who could’ve seen that coming?”

“Fuck you.”

He grinned as he walked up to the table and started collecting the bottles. I watched through blurred eyes as he brought them over to the sink, rinsed them out and put them in the recycling bin. Keller was surprisingly conscientious about stuff like that.

Half of me wanted him to leave me the hell alone. The other half didn’t. That explains the stupid suggestion that came out of my mouth. Well, that and the wine. “Wanna—wanna play some chess?”

He shook his head as he turned back to face me. “I don’t think your head would be in the game right now.”

“So? Easy win.”

“That’s not what I’m after.”

I tried to ask him what he was after—apart from the next score—but something about his expression stopped me. It was half measuring and half . . . I don’t know. Wistful, maybe. But that didn’t make sense; Keller never wasted his time being wistful. If he wanted something, he went after it.

“She’s gone,” I said instead.

He nodded. “Yeah.

“I want her back.”

“Why doesn’t that surprise me?”

I glared at him. “She’s worth it. She’s the one.”

“If you say so, Caffrey. Come on—let’s get you cleaned up and into bed.”

“Neal?”

I started at the sound of my name and the sudden weight of Peter’s hand on my shoulder. I stopped myself from jumping out of my chair, though, and managed to fix a smile in place as I looked up at him. “Hey. Didn’t know you were still here.”

He pulled a chair up to my desk, cocking his head at me as he sat down. “Everything ok? You were staring into space.”

“Was I? I must be more tired than I thought.”

“Yeah. It’s almost nine. I sent you home two hours ago.”

I feigned a nonchalant shrug. “I grabbed a bite and decided to come back. There were a couple of cold cases I wanted to look over . . .”

He took the files off of my desk. I felt my stomach clench as he perused them. At length he gave me that look—the one that makes me feel like a five year old in trouble with his dad.

He dropped the files back in place and gave me a worried look. “Keller’s a suspect in all of these.”

I nodded.

“Neal, I told you not to look into him on your own. You have a hunch, you come to me. You know what that son of a bitch is capable of!”

“I don’t have a hunch, Peter! That’s the problem. And that’s why I’m looking through these. I just want to see if anything strikes me. Anything that will help us figure out where he’s hiding.”

“If you want to look through old files on him, you ask me first. Hell, if you so much as think about Keller, I want to know. I’m not going to have you going off half-cocked—”

“I won’t!”

“You want to talk about your track record?”

“Peter—”

“End of discussion,” he said, standing up. “Come on. You’re coming home with me.”

I forced myself to bite back a sigh of frustration. Since the ‘treasure incident,’ Peter was keeping me on a tight leash, as if I needed a 24/7 babysitter. He even halved my radius, which almost didn’t matter, since he insisted I spend most of my time at Chez Burke. And when I wasn’t a guest at his house, he kept an eye glued to my tracking data. I don’t know how the man got any sleep.

I tried not to complain too often because, as Peter liked to remind me, the alternative was prison. I figured Peter-as-babysitter was preferable.

Barely.

“Fine,” I grumbled. “Let me get my coat.”

Kidnapped Peter, Suspect Neal

I'm looking for Peter being kidnapped and Neal having to pretend that he is siding with the bad guys in order to keep Peter alive/rescue him. Peter does not know that Neal is on his side and is confused and doubting himself and Neal. Neal saves Peter and they resolve the distrust and there is love all around. The love can be gen partner stuff or slashy goodness. Any rating is good I have no squicks except for kids being hurt and if the boys are together El is not being cheated on. The goal is to hurt the boys emotionally and Peter physically(just don't kill them please)

Neal wakes up but can't open his eyes... He's blindfolded and tied down to a bed. Naked. Nothing feels, sounds, or smells familiar. It doesn't take him long to learn that his captor is a woman. She has specific intentions for him, namely trying to create a Neal-shaped impression in the mattress. When she's done, he hears a very familiar voice whisper in his ear.

How about something in the way of an impromptu kidnapping rather than something planned out.

Peter's team arranges a sting during a case involving a completely and utterly NON-violent perp. This perp goes way out of his way to avoid the opportunity for violence of any kind during his crimes. So they're not expecting trouble and Neal goes in thinking, for once, that he'll NOT have a gun waved in his face. Only there's someone else there WITH the perp who IS violent and when Neal's cover is blown he's suddenly kidnapped--taken hostage to get passed the FBI waiting outside.

No Death-fic please. And extra bonus Love for Moz working magic outside of Peter's knowledge to help get Neal home safe. Season 3 setting would be grand, but I'm not too picky.

Oh, and Peter/Neal is wonderful...as is Moz/Neal (there's not enough of that)! And gen is fine too, but no peter/el/neal please.

Neal/Peter - Reunited on the DL

Looking for the aftermath of a rough situation - maybe Neal's cover was blown and he was briefly a hostage, maybe he was taken as collateral or something. The how's and why's aren't important.

What I'd like is to see that point where Peter and Neal are reunited, but they can't embrace or kiss or anything while in public - their relationship is on the DL. What little things do they do (gestures, phrases, expressions) to demostrate their feelings to each other?

Peter kidnapped and presumed dead

Peter is kidnapped by some baddies who want to find out how much the FBI knows about their operation. The thing is, they make it look like Peter is killed, maybe they blow up the Taurus or something and Neal witnesses the explosion and truly believes that Peter is dead.

Looking for a devastated, inconsolable Neal and El + Peter eventually escaping and coming home, unaware of his presumed dead status. Lots of comfort and happy tears :)

Established P/E/N would be love, but gen is more than fine, too :)

Abducted, amnesiac Neal

Post-season three. Neal disappears suddenly, Peter thinks he ran. The evidence also suggests this. Feeling disappointed and betrayed, Peter still doesn't look for Neal as hard as he should, because he doesn't want to send him to prison for the rest of his life.

Skip to a year later. Mozzie (who ran with the treasure when Neal would not join him, and has been sipping martinis on some Mediterranean island) pops into town to visit and bother Neal about why Neal has not been answering his secret messages. Instead he finds the suit, and gives him hell for not pursuing what is obviously an abduction. This convinces Peter to take a second look, and eventually his search leads him to an amnesiac Neal, who has been staying in a small town in Arizona after being found half-dead in the desert with various scars/cuts/bruises on his body. I would like it if Neal had been held hostage for a long period of time (several months at least), in a situation where he was being coerced/used for his skills in some way.

Focus on Neal's recovery, mental and physical, which is very much still in progress when Peter finds him. Gen or gen leading to OT3.

Neal's been taken by people who very quickly realize that our favorite escape artist is going to be way too hard to restrain, so instead, they keep him drugged. Not just sedated, but IV'd full of something mean and lasting. Peter and company find him, but the rescue's not the end of it, because he's coming off of whatever they gave him, and he's going to get worse before he gets better.

I would *love* to see this one switch between Neal's POV, kind of a stream of consciousness perspective as he's under the effects of this and then coming out of it, and Peter's POV, but I'm not married to that. Also, it can kick off at any point in this action -- from the kidnapping, from the rescue, or from somewhere in between, depending on what speaks to you.
