Title: Four Christmas Cards
Author: Ivorysilk
Rating: M.
Summary: "At Christmas time you will be allowed to mail (4) Christmas cards."
Warning: Nothing specific, I don’t think. Set between seasons one and into early season two.
Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, or this universe. However, I am clearly not above using either of these for my own nefarious purposes. I am writing this for fun, and because I have no self-control and must play in other peoples’ sandboxes.
Thanks: Many thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] hoosierbitch, who encouraged and cajoled and beta’d for me—she did a fabulous job, and all remaining mistakes are mine.

Thanks also to [livejournal.com profile] qwertyfaced, who let me use her Alcatraz rules prompt card (I’d post a picture so you’d see what I mean, if I knew how to do that) and for brainstorming with me in an airport (for her fic, really, but then I got a bunny and she was kind enough to let me use it), and who brought them in the first place. Finally, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rabidchild, for having the brilliant idea to use the cards as fic prompts in the first place, and for running this fest! (I am sorry I am so late—I actually wrote this a week or two ago for my posting date, but wasn’t happy with a part of it and so didn’t post. Hoosierbitch finally prodded me into looking at posting it, which gave me the impetus to fix what was bugging me. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy it.)

Any comments will, as always, be gratefully received. Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays!

Title: The Gift of Fever
Characters (Pairings): OT3 (Peter/Elizabeth/Neal)
Rating: PG13 (language, mostly.)
Word Count: 8100
Warnings:Spoilers None.
Disclaimer: Nope, not mine. I'm just playing.
Summary: A story of Neal's three visitors. One to remind him, one to show him, and one to warn him. From [livejournal.com profile] pooh_collector's prompt for the [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc2013 advent. "Has anybody ever done A Christmas Carol, WC edition? This haven't been going well for Neal. It was a crappy year with his deadbeat dad, Peter's imprisonment, et al. Then on Christmas Eve he comes down with a terrible cold complete with fever and is visited by those three ghostly figures who show him how his life has been important to those that love him."
Authors Notes: I got a little off script from the prompt, sort of. Because that's what I do and the muse was being especially fickle with this one. I hope I at least sort of do it justice. ;)

"Bah humbug." Neal stood and stretched. He couldn't see it but he knew Peter was frowning. He rolled his eyes and plastered on a smile before he turned around. Peter was already staring, frown in place, when he did. "I'm kidding, Peter. What kind of man would hate Christmas?"

Title: Change My Attempt, Good Intentions
Author: [livejournal.com profile] anodyneer
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: NC-17
Characters/Pairings: Peter Burke, Neal Caffrey, Elizabeth Burke (Peter/Neal, Peter/El, Neal & El - implied OT3), Mozzie, mentions of Clinton Jones, Diana and Theo Berrigan, June Ellington, Reese Hughes, OMC
Spoilers: None
Warnings: Mentions (not particularly graphic) of past torture and murder.
Disclaimer: White Collar belongs to Jeff Eastin. Title is from "Wasteland" by 10 Years.
Word Count: ~ 22,000
Summary: For their first Christmas together post-anklet, Peter buys Neal what he thinks is the perfect gift and has it secretly delivered. For Neal, the gift points to another secret - an evil from his past that he hoped he'd never have to face.

Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kanarek13's prompt for 2013 White Collar H/C Advent. Lots of emotional h/c and angsty goodness. For those who want to skim over the porn, it's all in part 1. Cross-posted on AO3.

"You want to know the real reason I almost never buy romantic gifts?” He could feel the tears hanging in his eyes, like glittering shards of his heart. When El’s own eyes widened, his voice left him entirely, and he breathed out the last few words. “This is why. I get it wrong, and it hurts, okay?"

Title: Lost Daze
Pairing: pre-OT3
Rating: pg13
Warnings: hurt!Neal, abduction
Word count: 3.7k
Summary: Neal wakes on the couch with no memory of how he got there, nor what day of the week it is.
A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc's 2013 H/C Advent, although I'm a tad late... blaming my current poor health for that one! Written in several short bursts so hoping it's not too all over the place.

Title: The Circumstance of You and Me – Prequel to Nothing Will Remain
Author: [livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan
Fandom: White Collar
Rating: PG-13
Characters/Pairings: Peter Burke, Elizabeth Burke, nee Mitchell, Reese Hughes, Neal Caffrey, Original Female Characters, Original Male Characters, Peter – Elizabeth friendship, Elizabeth – Neal friendship
Spoilers: None
Warnings/Enticements/Triggers: References to the events of 9/11 in New York City, reference to the death of a non-canon character.
Word Count: ~14,000 total
Beta Credit: [livejournal.com profile] miri_thompson, [livejournal.com profile] coffeethyme4me
Summary: In the near-canon A/U, Nothing Will Remain, Peter and Elizabeth had been divorced for years, but remained very close friends. This is the story of how they met, forged an unbreakable bond, and why, when Peter is gay and is not in the closet, they got married. This story can stand alone, but the experience will be richer if you’ve read the other fic.

A/N: Written for the 2013 White Collar Hurt/Comfort Advent over at [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc. And I guess it's now official (if it wasn't apparent before) that there is a "Nothing Will Remain 'verse". When you write 30k for two stories in less than three weeks, it's pretty clear that there's a 'verse in the works.

Title from Oysterband's "Only When You Call."

Title: Search and Rescue
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG
Pairing/characters: Neal, Peter and Mozzie
Word count: 2,650
Spoilers: none - set around S2
Warnings: none
Summary: While Manhattan was covered in slush and snow, Neal was revisted by the consequences of a far more tropical adventure, and Mozzie found a reason to be glad Neal wore a tracking anklet.

Notes: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] angelita26's prompt for H/C Advent. This is one of those stories in which real medical details are more of a garnish than a main ingredient.

( It had been eight years since the botched job that had left him feverish and weak in a hospital in South America, but he remembered all too clearly what it had felt like. Neal shook with a renewed chill and burrowed deeper under the blankets just as he heard his door open. )

Summary: “You’ll miss me when I’m gone.” Peter never thought he’d live to see that come true.

A/N: For H/C Advent, and this prompt from [livejournal.com profile] love_82: “Presumed Dead is one of my favorite tropes so I would love to see a story with that. Someone or someones are thought to be dead. Then the Christmas miracle where they find their way home or are found.”

Summary: There's Mafia and then Santa Clause and WAR. Christmas sneaks up on Neal. Seriously. That's the plot. Rephrase that: There is no plot! This is pure teeth-rotting fluff, and I'm terribly sorry, but plot didn't happen.
Disclaimer: I don't own White Collar, I'm just borrowing. I'll put them back.

This is not the Advent story that I'd meant to post, but I didn't get my other one done, so I had this shorter one waiting in the wings for my posting day just in case. :)

Title: Culture Shock
Word Count: 2400
Pairing: gen
Summary: Things go a bit wrong at a holiday gallery opening. Just some light h/c fluff.
Notes: This is for my h/c bingo "Culture Shock" square. I was complaining to [livejournal.com profile] frith_in_thorns about my inability to figure out a plot for that square and she dared me to write it as an electrical shock aquired from some cultural thing. Who am I to pass up a challenge like that?

Hiya fellow Hurt-Comforteers!

This is the master post for this year's fest. Hurray!

How do you get on it? Publish your work where you will (your LJ, Tumblr, AO3, DeviantArt, wherever), then include a link to it as a comment to this post. Then, I’ll add your name to the list below – it’s that simple.

If you've forgotten your date, here is a link to the date claims post.

Please look to the stories themselves for any warnings.

Fa la la, y'all )

Gosh, we filled up all 24 dates for HC Advent in less than 24 hours - you guys are awesome.

There is now a second round of claims! If you signed up but have not yet chosen a date, head to the claims post and choose one. This means we will have up to two works posted per day, from December 1 through December 24.

ANYONE who signed by replying to this post is included in the Advent - we don't stand on ceremony. Hell, if you still want to sign up and there are dates available, I say go for it. The more the merrier our Christmases will be. Though not so much for poor Neal, I dare say.

Questions? Post them below or PM me.

As that funky monkey says in The Lion King: It is time!

Time for those participating in this year's Hurt/Comfort Advent to claim a prompt if they so desire.

How to do this? Why, head on over to the prompts post, peruse the list you find, and lay your claim by replying to the prompt you want.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Participants DO NOT have to claim a prompt - they're just there in case anyone wants to use them.

2. Participants DO NOT have to fill the prompt they claim, because, hey, sometimes the muse she is fickle. HOWEVER, if you will not be filling the prompt, it would be polite to come on back and say so.

3. For reasons of #2 above, if you love a prompt and would like to register your interest in beings its runner-up, go for it.

Questions, concerns, tips for your server? Head to the comments below.
